What is clear is that you get to drive an agile and responsive car either way.

The turbocharged engine of the XE may be rated at either 247-hp or 296-hp but it does not meet the usual acceleration that you usually get on these numbers. It is stable and well-balanced but the grip and everything else are not outstanding.
