2020 Audi A6 vs. 2020 Acura RLX

While the A6 basks in its new styling, the RLX has significantly aged. The grille had an update back in 2018 but the exterior still looks average. While some of the details outside were refreshed, the interior was not given the pleasure of an update. The result is a sad-looking cabin that desperately needs fresh details.

The A6 looks futuristic and so is its set of in-car technologies. The ambient lighting, for one, will set an expressive mood once you settled in its comfortable cabin. The front seat ventilation is also a nice touch to increase cabin comfort. The instruments for the infotainment are modern but are also intuitive to use. It is easy to communicate and navigate using the smartphone-inspired interface.

Given that the A6 has an ultra-modern infotainment system, the one on the RLX is usable but not exciting.

Performance

The A6 can perform at its best even with the base engine at-hp. A 335-hp V6 engine is reserved for those who are more adventurous at heart and are in for a wild ride. As for the RLX, its performance sound promising with the same V6 engine. In reality, however, the thrust seems lacking and handling is so much better on the base model of the A6 than the performance-enhanced RLX.

The Bottom Line

The 2020 Audi A6 delivers a strong and solid over-all performance compared to the 2020 Acura RLX. What the RLX truly lacks is the sense of going all-out to impress. It settled in offering fine qualities that are quickly drowned by that of the A6.
