Design & Style
Although the Land Rover Evoque may share its running gear with the Land Rover Discovery, it manifests its own distinct design. It has door handles which pop out with a wedge that is unadorned and copper toned trim. The front is dominated by a honey comb style grille and it looks best with a black roof and trim. The cockpit is somewhat restrained, with a sublime appearance that seamlessly merges the digital displays with the woven leather and metallic surfaces. The bumper is broader yet lower which gives the exterior a commanding presence. The Audi Q7 answers with a V6, turbocharged engine that can generate 335 horsepower with 369 pounds of torque. This enables quick acceleration which allows the vehicle to go from zero to sixty in just 5.7 seconds.
The Bottom Line
The Land Rover Evoque is a good looking vehicle, but it has a number of glaring weaknesses. First, its rear vision is poor, the interior isn’t as roomy as it should be, and the seats are too slim for some. Its engine is also lackluster compared to the Q7 making the Audi the winner.
